Over the years, Zouk Heat has grown alongside the North American Brazilian Zouk community, developing a portfolio of intentional experiences centered on connection, movement & thoughtfully curated music.
Our flagship experience is the festival: Zouk Heat. An annual immersive gathering designed to bring the full vision of Zouk Heat to life.
Under our Zouk Fire sub-brand, we create smaller, more local experiences—including socials and immersive, transformational movement-based weekenders—that offer dancers meaningful ways to connect, explore, and grow throughout the year.

One weekend. All the heat.
Zouk Heat is our largest and most expansive experience of the year — a multi-day celebration of Brazilian Zouk, Flow, and Lambada featuring world-class instruction, social dancing, friendly and encouraging competition, intentionally curated music, and a schedule designed with community, choice, and breathing room in mind.
More than simply a collection of workshops & parties, Zouk Heat is built as a complete festival experience where you can choose how you want to engage — learn, compete, connect, practice, recharge, dance all night, dance during the day, or do a little bit of everything.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The full Zouk Heat experience — built to give you more ways to experience the weekend your way.

Great music. Intentional curriculum. Unforgettable nights.
Zouk Fire Weekenders are our smaller, more intimate dance weekends built around focused movement concepts, deeper learning, and intentional connection. These occur 2-3 times per year in additional to our annual flagship festival.
Rather than recreating the scale of a festival, each Weekender gives us the freedom to slow things down and explore a particular theme, principle, artist, or movement idea more deeply. The result is an immersive weekend where workshops, music, social dancing, and community all support the same experience.
And because connection matters just as much as what happens on the dance floor, our Weekenders also include a Saturday Pre-Game Meetup during the dinner break, hosted by Chynna of Her Zouk Society. The meetup gives attendees an open, relaxed space to grab dinner, spend time together, meet new people, and connect outside of the workshop setting before heading back into the evening programming. It’s especially helpful for dancers attending solo or joining us for the first time, creating an easy way to become part of the community before the Saturday night social begins.
Expect:

Come for the dance. Stay for the vibes.
Zouk Fire Fridays are our recurring local socials — an easy way to stay connected, keep dancing, and enjoy the Zouk Heat experience without waiting for the next big weekend. Each edition brings together a class, top-tier DJs, quality social dancing, and a welcoming atmosphere designed for both familiar faces and dancers discovering our community for the first time.
And the experience can start before you even reach the dance floor: THE PREGAME
Our Pre-Game Meetup, sponsored and hosted by Chynna of Her Zouk Society, is an open invitation for the community to gather before each Zouk Fire Fridays social at a selected restaurant or bar within walking distance of the venue. It’s a relaxed opportunity to grab a bite or a drink, meet new people, reconnect with friends, and get comfortable before the evening begins.
For dancers who are new to the community — or simply new to Zouk Fire Fridays — the Pre-Game creates an especially easy entry point. Instead of walking into the event alone and trying to figure out who’s who, you can meet people first in a casual setting and then walk together as a group directly to the venue for the workshop and social that follow.
